Out of Dry Ground
There are two types of people on earth, the lost and the saved; respectfully, those who never experience enough and those who experience enough. However, the most challenging part of being a Christian is when we move from being filled with the Spirit, through whom Christ becomes all we will ever need, and stepping out from our true selves to walk in the flesh where Christ ceases to be all we need. Consequently, we no longer feel contented.
Recently, Loren Allred stepped out from behind her backstage performance in The Greatest Showman to reveal herself as the one who sang the song Never Enough in the movie. The vocalist sings of a man in the piece just mentioned, but the hearer who's exchanged idols for the true God will see only Him in their heart.
"I'm trying to hold my breath
Let it stay this way
Can't let this moment end
You set off a dream in me
Getting louder now
Can you hear it echoing?
Take my hand
Will you share this with me?
'Cause darling, without you
All the shine of a thousand spotlights
All the stars we steal from the night sky
Will never be enough
Never be enough
Towers of gold are still too little
These hands could hold the world but it'll
Never be enough
Never be enough
Nothing can replace God in our hearts, certainly not what He makes to reflect who and what He means to be to us. Neither stars nor towers of gold can take the place that only Jesus can fill.
Simon, on Britain's God Talent, after that audition said, "Timing is everything in life, maybe this is your time."
My walk and every believer in Jesus Christ who has ever lived have one goal to obtain, and if we stand true, we will receive the most significant goal ever. To know Him, and power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His image; if somehow I may attain to the resurrection from the dead." (Philippians 3:10, 11)
Sometime in the near future, Jesus denied for thousands of years, will have His forever time to shine.
